Hello! I'm Mylena...
... a PhD. student in Laboratorio de Genética evolutiva in Misiones, Argentina,
investigating the genetic basis of traits potentially involved in adaptation and
speciation in Neotropical cichlids known as Juanitas.

I am also interested in genome evolution, genomic conflicts and chromosomal rearrangements.

I am super happy of being able to study these wonderful fish species from my own region. And I enjoy communicating our findings to my local community!
Through this project I get to achieve a fulfilling scientific career, in which I get to combine my scientific interests and outdoor activities that I used to enjoy as hobby (photography, trekking, snorkeling).
